Sponsor Me For Run Melbourne!

June 1, 2011 | Filed under Uni/Work

From its inception in 1994 as ‘Run to the ‘G’, Run Melbourne has taken participants past many of Melbourne’s major landmarks, including the MCG, Shrine of Remembrance, Royal Botanic Gardens, the Arts Centre, NGV and Federation Square.

In 2008, Run Melbourne also signed with Everyday Hero, a web based company that gives individuals the opportunity to raise money for their preferred charity or not for profit organisation. $280,000 was raised in 2008 for a variety of Victorian charities. In 2009, that figure almost doubled as a staggering $533,717 was raised and in 2010, 17,655 runners and walkers raised more than $1 million! This year, we are aiming to raise a much needed $1.5 million for worthy causes!

SPONSOR ME

I am doing Run Melbourne in July this year, to fundraise for one of the organisations I work for. EW Tipping Foundation provides support services to people with disability, families, carers and older people across Victoria. Our vision is: independence, choice and community for all. We work to achieve this vision for all people, regardless of ability or circumstance; and to change community attitudes so that disability and community inclusion are an accepted, everyday part of our society. Please sponsor my entry in Run Melbourne, and donate your money to a worthy cause.

Update: If you do not have a credit card to sponsor me online, you can always send money to my Paypal account: acchamanda at gmail dot com. Please include your name, email, and a message, and I will donate that same amount online with my own credit card.

One Response to Sponsor Me For Run Melbourne!

  1. I would love to, but they don’t accept debit cards/paypal. Is there another way I can sponsor you?

Reply: You can send it to my Paypal if you like with a message, and I can then pay that same amount with my credit card. :)
