Kicked Out
October 28, 2009 | Filed under Family & Friends
Earlier this evening, I announced on Twitter that I was kicked out of the house, pretty much permanently. Do not worry. I’m fine. I have places to stay, a regular income, and I’ll be just fine. I’ll find a way to pick up all my possessions and load it into my car when there’s no one in the house, and I won’t be deprived of anything at all.
Needless to say, blogging will be last on the list of priorities over the next few weeks. I should still be twittering though, so feel free to follow me for regular updates on how angry I am, and how fucking unreasonable and irrational my parents are.

Aww, i’d read the tweet wondering what had happened but figured you’re already getting bombarded with questions :( i hope they come around though. But you’re right… You’ll be fine, i’m sure of it! *hugs*

Uh. Whoa! I can hardly believe it. I’ll follow you on twitter (I’m syntaxoflife) to get updates. I hope everything works out all right. You’re still homeless even if you have places to stay…

Man, that frickin’ sucks. I added you on twitter (rororin) too to get updates. Hope things work out for you!
Rosemary on October 29, 2009 #
Ugh, lame! I’m glad you have a safety net but that’s still got to be an unwelcome surprise. I hope you get everything worked out (and eventually tell us what finally drove them over the edge).
Meggan on October 29, 2009 #
Whoa! That’s unbelievable :o
I’m glad you have a place to stay though.

That just plain downright sucks. But at least you have somewhere to go.
Arielle on October 29, 2009 #
That sucks :| Especially since you put effort into pleasing your parents, or at least keeping them from being angry with you. I’m just glad you’re prepared for a situation like this! Good luck. :)

I’m so sorry. But I’m glad you’ve got a place to stay and knowing how independent you are, I’m sure you’ll be fine. I still wish you the best of luck and hope everything turns out okay. *hugs* you still have a lot of friends who care a lot for you.

argh, parents are such losers sometimes :( but i’m glad to hear that you will be ok…

I personally think this is the best thing that could have happened for you! I know you love and respect your parents, but they were seriously holding you back. I think you’ll thrive living on your own/with someone other than family.
I just hope that your being kicked out doesn’t also mean they’ve disowned you… because THAT would really suck :(

Good luck doll! I’m sure you’ll make it through this whole thing with your head held high!

I would offer you free rent for housekeeping but you’re on the other side of the world. *hugs*
Skye on October 30, 2009 #
That’s terrible! At least you’re alright (I guess your practical nature all these years really shine through in situations like this). Good luck with everything!
Also, I didn’t know you had a twitter, I sent through a request!

I second what Nellie and Skye said. Living apart from your family will give you room to grow. That said, these circumstances are not ideal :( I’m so sorry hun. I wish we lived closer!

I think this might actually be a good thing for you. It will be hard at first, but maybe it’s for the best.
Good luck with everything and especially with finding a place of your own!

Been so busy so I haven’t really been reading blogs so it makes me sad that the first time I try to check up on people, this is what I read about you! :(
I’m pretty convinced you’ll be more than just fine though. I hope you figure out the probs with the family but this whole moving away from them might actually be for the best. Good luck!

I’ve kept up with your blogs but haven’t had time to leave comments, though I believe this deserves a word of support. Its utterly crappy to be kicked out… (sometimes its difficult to believe how un-supportive family can be, when after all… you’re family).
But like others have said, I do honestly think this will lead somewhere great for you. You’ve got the money aspect of life down pat, and that’s generally people’s downfall with moving out (that plus basic motivation and ambitions in life). And you pretty much are independent. I hope you are able to get settled down soon simply to enjoy your new found freedom!
Good luck with everything and take care. -big hug- Let us know what happened eventually eh =)

I hope you’re well, Amanda! I know you’ll be fine. Good luck with everything. :)

I want to know what happened too!
My parents charged me rent when I stayed at home, but they’d never kick me out… at least I hope not
Glad to hear you’re fine….
(And thanks for coming by the blog and leaving a comment so I could track back and find YOUR blog)
