June 25 2009: Man’s Milk

I had another entry in mind for today, but I might actually delay that till tomorrow to share this exciting conversation with you. Somewhat paraphrased (my memory is hazy at the best of times).
- Mr. M: Okay, so starting today, no more junk food. I’m going to eat healthier, stick to my weights routine properly, and we’ll see results.
- Me: Maybe you should cut out the full cream milk and switch to skim too.
- Mr. M: No, fuck that, I prefer man milk.
- Me: (cracks up laughing)
- Mr. M: (horrified) Men’s milk! Manly milk! Milk for manly men! Not chick’s skim milk! MANLY milk!
- Me: (cracks up laughing)
I like men’s milk too. I especially like his manly milk, if you get what I mean.

I didn’t realise milk was gendered. I assume men don’t drink strawberry milk either, because it’s pink… LOL.
I prefer manly milk too. Female milk always smells off.

I’ve recently switched to 1% organic milk, used to be 2%. I was surprised people actually drink whole milk…I had it when I was in Europe and it’s so rich, felt like it was clogging my arteries already. Maybe I’m just used to it.

This reminds me of my ex. His dad picked up 3% (Homo) milk and the entire family had to drink it because he refused to pick up anything else. Those of us who were not forced to drink it made fun of the fact that they were macho men drinking something that is pretty much like cream!
I am a 1% person myself, but that’s because it’s all we’ve had in our house since junior high. Honestly, 2% tastes weird to me now.
