DJ-ing For The Office

Okay, so I’m adapting this laksa recipe for my bet (first attempt on Friday!). I’m halving all the ingredients because it’ll be a meal for two, not four. I’m also substituting Hokkien noodles for the suggested vermicelli noodles as Mr. Monogamy prefers Hokkien noodles. I’ll probably reduce the amount of stock and coconut milk in the recipe because the change in noodles will mean that I won’t need as much soup base as Hokkien noodles don’t expand as much as vermicelli noodles. I’m adding more seafood (I’m thinking calamari), and reducing the amount of coriander, mint, and basil. I’m also giving some thought to my blow job technique, which, I’ll have you know, is second to none.
In other news, my iPod has become the default background music at my office. For my first three weeks in my job, I’d had it hooked up to the speakers on my computer so that I had some music to work to as I can’t work in silence. Just today though, my boss bought a stereo system with an iPod dock for the office, and asked me to hook my iPod up to it. His reasoning?
If you had been listening to heavy metal I wouldn’t have bought the stereo, but I’m liking the music you’ve been playing so I thought we could all enjoy a bit of background music.
Of course, this now means that I have to make a “work” playlist excluding some potentially embarrassing and/or inappropriate tracks. Excluding all my Chinese music for example – no one else will have any idea what it’s talking. I should also probably exclude songs about smacking it on the floor, and shorty getting low, and riding his pony, and everything along those lines. That might take things just a bit too far for an office environment. They don’t need to know what type of activities I get up to outside of office hours!

Psht. He’s being discriminatory against awesome people such as myself for listening to metal!

I love metal! That’s so sad. Oh well, though, at least you get to share your music even if you have to hide some of it. :P

That sounds really awesome. I’d love to have my boss pump up the music I like in the workplace.

Great idea – if the food fails the BJ will certainly make up for it.
