Well, this will be difficult to do as I’m American and have no idea what is considered proper racewear beyond what we would wear to events like the Kentucky Derby and whatnot… which is more like long, flowy dresses, big sunhats, gloves, pearls, etc… But I’m going to try this out (already have an outfit together… just have to piece it up…). I’m excited :)

Maybe I’ll even (attempt) to draw the finished product. It’s been a while since I’ve attempted fashion drawings…

Reply: Racewear in Australia is really just “cocktail”. A dressy dress (e.g. not a plain cotton sundress) is all it is.

Ooh, personally I'm not dressy; I have a fashion sense of that of a rock. Still, I know how to choose dresses (I'm my mother's critic, in fact). I can probably pull this off. I think I'll join. :p One problem though: we have these bargain/thrift stores we call ukay-ukay/wagwagan. If you want to know more about them, here's a short description, and here's a short video. They (usually/99% of the time) don't hand out receipts though. What would be considered proof of purchase then? ;) Reply: With thrift store items, as long as you can let me know how much it was, where/when you bought it, that'd be fine. :) With ebay or online items though, you'll have to link me to it!

Yet another great outfit : ) I wish I could enter you’re competetion!! I have so many nice dresses, yet not a single pair of decent heels…and no bag or anything. I love buying pretty clothes, but I fail at accesories.. in the end I’d have to turn up to the races in my posh dress and trainers XD Will look forward to the entries though! :D

Reply: If you can find accessories online that fit under the $100 threshold, that’s always an option too! Pair an existing dress with some cyber heels and bag! :)

Reply: It doesn’t have to be something you already own! :) You could always do a mock outfit out of things you find online…

I’m terrible at styling, it’s generally jeans and a shirt or a nice two piece suit for me but hey I can always try :).
