[...] My mobile phone seems to be back to normal. The water evaporated from the screen over the course of a couple of days, and it’s working as per usual.
Meep! I'm sorry to read about this. X_X;; Look on the bright side? At least it didn't fall in the toilet? Couple of my friends were unlucky and that's what happened to their phone!

You know they say that after getting your phone wet you should let it dry first before powering it up to decrease the chance of frying it. And drying it with a blow dryer is a preferred method :P

I would have been pretty pissed too. Not sure if I could stand having a broken phone for 6 months though!

Wow. That is some luck. Still, six months seems quite a while to continue using a partially broken phone. Here's to hoping that it clears up for you.

I know of many people who have lost their phones to the toilet. Seriously. It sounds funny, but it happens to so many people. I'm careful, although I did drop my iPod in the bath once. Miraculously, it survived....

Lucky it didn't fry as soon as you used it. Someone threw a water bomb at me once, somehow soaking through my bag and settling its way inside my phone. Very sad, very sad. Lol.
Perhaps your phone wanted a bit of sexy times with the grass. mmMMM.

Reply: Ew Jess, last sentence makes me sad. :( :P

That sucks, but at least you can still call and don't need to purchase another phone yet!

I don't know what kind of phone you have but it seems that the more 'older' models are better protected against water trouble than the newer phones. One of my co-workers dropped her new phone in a cup of coffee last week and it died immediately.

I have too many run-ins with water and my phone - even so far as to put it through the wash! :(

The only advice I have is to leave it in an airing cupboard over night or two and the water should evaporate and go back to normal. You should give it a try as you don't have anything to loose.

Reply: You know, I always read about airing cupboards in English novels...but they don't build them into Australian homes. :(

Well, I've recently bought a new phone so I'd be really pissed off if something like that happened to me.

I once dropped mine in the toilet, so I had to throw it away cause it refused to turn on.
Anyway, good luck with keeping it working until April.
