September 10 2008: Image Representations Of People In My Life

Filed under Family & Men & Online

By virtue of the fact that I completed my essay early yesterday, and had a couple of hours to kill, I decided to mangle more faces, in particular those of people who I mention with regularity on this blog.

manga brother My brother. He has monkey ears, typically Asian slit eyes and a pug nose.
manga father My father. He’s a jowly fellow, with a perpetual five o’clock shadow and squinty eyes.
manga mother My mother. Short hair, glasses, and just the hint of crows feet at the corners of her eyes.
manga Alex The fella. Gorgeous blue eyes, clothed entirely in black, and pixie-esque pricked ears.

I obviously have too much time on my hands. Time to stop procrastinating and perhaps actually get a head start on assignments not due for another two weeks. Or, to continue applying for jobs like I’m currently reluctantly doing. One or the other.

  3. You know, from what I remember of them, they’re all very good representations ^_^

  4. I still don’t get the difference between slit and squinty eyes. Could you please explain that to me as if I was a six years old?

Does the fella wear a cap all the time?

Reply: Slit eyes - when they smile/laugh, their eyes disappear and it’s nothing but a line in their face. Squinty eyes - you can still see some eye when they laugh. :P

  6. Your fella looks a bit dark and moody.

    HI IF HE’S READING THIS.

Reply: I’ll be sure to point this comment out to him. :P

  7. I see… so judging by the same background, you and the fella met in a graveyard? Fun stuff! ^.^

  8. Ooh hello. Does your fella have a twin or slightly younger brother? ;)

    Reply: A thirty-something married brother, and a forty-something separated brother. :P

  9. My Mother looks just like yours! Well, her anime form does, at least. I agree with everyone who says the boy looks good, he has a well composed face, and blue eyes are always pretty.

  10. Awesome! =P

  11. I admire how you can do these anime things - the last time I used a generator, I ended up being totally different from myself.

  12. Even in cartoon form, your dude person looks really cute ;)

  13. You looked like you in the last post. Your brother looks kid-cute and your mom looks really sweet. I can picture her finding your vibrator *nods* Your dad looks….interesting. As for the fella, the sideburns have got to go.

I mangled myself due to you. I look like me (including to my fella) but I can’t get him to look like him. *sigh*

  14. *according to my fella

  15. Hey.. I just stumbled upon your blog through some random links. I just wanted to say that I like your blog and everything but it really gives off this “Web 1.0″ feel. I just feel like I’m on a website from 1998. It’s just all very weird. Because Web 1.0 didn’t have blogs. Paradox.

Reply: Haha, I didn’t realise there was a “everyone must have a Web 2.0 design-esque site” requirement? I aim for easy-to-use over flashy graphics. :)
