June 4 2008: Shopping In Sydney
Filed under Fashion & Money & Travel
I’m baaaaack! Did y’all miss me? Don’t lie now!
I’m much too exhausted to type up a long entry about my trip right now (blame the chronic snorers in my family that I was staying with, and as a result, the sleepless nights), so you can expect a longer entry about it sometime in the next two days. For the time being however, feast your eyes on items purchased while I was in Sydney.

One Teaspoon smock top, $10AUD from $89.95AUD

Grab low-cut top, $10AUD from $69.95AUD

Sussan smock top, $9.95AUD from $69.95AUD

Sussan black one-shouldered dress, $9.95AUD from $69.95AUD

Blue/white twist bra bikini, $2AUD from $70AUD

Crazily intricate fob chain bracelet, $5AUD from $29.95AUD
That, my dear readers, is the result of three near-full days of shopping. Looks like a small haul for such effort, doesn’t it? I would have bought a lot more if:
- I hadn’t been sticking to the $10AUD limit I set myself for each item.
- The sale items I found were available in my size…or, in my size, but more generous in the bust. There are downsides to having large mammaries, and don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise.
All in all, I spent under fifty dollars on shopping on this trip, probably the same amount on transport, and the same again on food (my cousin was shouting meals, and we ate lavishly!). Flights were a hundred dollars return, and extraneous activities (more about these in the next entry) came to about four hundred dollars. In total…a $650AUD trip. The damage could have been worse!
Oh, wow! I love the top at the top and the bikini’s gorgeous :) Good style, haha. Those were really good bargains! I love the bracelet :| It’s so shiny…

*looks at how much you saved on the items* Wow. I’ll need to look carefully tomorrow when I go shopping for a dress.

That is so bloody cheap! o_o I just buy by intuition. Price limits FTL. :P

Were the One Teaspoon and Grab (I love Grab) items on sale @ David Jones? Then again, would DJ really reduce their prices so drastically?
Reply: Nope, General Pants clearance store! We scoped out DJs, but it’s really hard to find good discounted stuff there…:( Boxing Day sales are really the only time that you can hit up DJs for some good bargains.

Waaah so much money saved… @_@ I totally envy your sales-hunting skills, I can’t seem to ever find clothes that cheap when I go shopping.
