I kind of made it a bit skanky. Not on purpose…but that’s kind of happens when you have boobs, hips, and an arse. Things just automatically get a little skankier because it moulds to your body.
To Make My Costume
- $5AUD Jungle Girl costume from Spotlight (on sale – originally $30AUD)
- Altered by my mother, who’s handy with a needle. Originally a halter-neck dress, but as halternecks don’t suit my body shape, she altered it into a one-shouldered dress.
- The brown sash came with the outfit pack (also a leopard print headband, though I decided not to wear it)
- The naughty nurse outfit was $5AUD as well, on the same discount table, which I was rapt about…
- $2AUD plastic squeaky dog’s toy bone from The Reject Shop
- Blue plastic baseball bat, mailed to me from Tracey (thanks!)
- Pot of brown/ochre acrylic paint bought from RIOT!Art&Craft. $3.50AUD, half price renovation sale. Painted it, and hung it to dry on the clothesline!
And thus, a Bamm-Bamm outfit on a budget! Cost me just over $10AUD all together…and I’ve got a costume that I can adapt for different uses (Tarzan and Jane?) for future costume parties!

Oooh that’s cute! I’m too lazy to make my own costumes though… I can’t wait to go shopping for a halloween costume this year! woot!
