Impractical Panties

April 21, 2008 | Filed under Money, Style

Jem may have pants, but I bet she doesn’t have pants as sexy as these!

undies!

I was hankering for some more impractical panties (I have this tendency of leaving my sexy panties in strange places, so they seem to disappear one by one rather rapidly…) as opposed to the plain black bikini briefs I sport for day-to-day wear, so decided to splurge yesterday.

  1. 1x cream satin pants with red lace trim
  2. 1x blue satin pants with light blue lace trim
  3. 1x sheer gauze multi-coloured panties with pink lace trim
  4. 1x pink satin panties with lace trim

Four pairs of panties for $10AUD…it could have been much worse! I did have buy other things, but well, it feels almost justified as I really haven’t been shopping this year, as I’ve been keeping to Resolution #4! In any case, yesterday I also bought:

jeans

Levi jeans (460 low-cut bootleg), $20AUD. On sale obviously, cause these are normally $100AUD jeans. I just needed a plain bootcut leg, as I’ve pretty much worn out my others. I’m a shorty however, in that I have tiny short stumpy legs and a long upper body, so I always have to get my jeans altered. I’ll have to take the bootleg up so much, it’ll end up looking like stovepipe jeans.

dress

I also bought a purple dress. Or wait…is it a dress? It’s actually a nightgown from Peter Alexander, but I thought it was so cute, that I’ve decided to wear it out and about like a dress rather than hiding it and only wearing it at home. Belt obviously not included, but the dress was $7AUD from $90AUD, so seriously, who’s complaining?

And that my friends, I think is enough to get me through winter. I bought some black tights recently, so I’ve decided in order to update my summer wardrobe to a winter wardrobe, I’ve just got to wear my tights, a summer dress, and a cardigan. Tadah, set for winter! I’m a genius!

  2. Lace and satin are two materials that I wish never existed. Especially when they’re used for garments worn so close to the vagina.

Also, how is it that when I’ve been looking for a cheap pair of black bootleg jeans for ages, you turn up with a picture of the perfect pair you just bought for $20!?

Not that I’d fit into those. Which is part of the reason I can’t find a pair. You have the ‘short’ problem and I have the ‘size 18 is too small but size 20 is too big and if I want a size 19, I’ll have to go to a specialist jeans store and have to pay out the butthole’ problem.

Are you sick of my spamming tendencies? :P

  4. … oh never mind. It looks as if I’ve used a bad word in my first comment.

And look, I am spamming again.

  5. Impractical panties are the BEST KIND. They’re so pretty. And so many different colours! When I lived with 5 other girls there were panties EVERYWHERE. But we could always tell who’s were who’s because of the design. One friend always wore the sheer short panties. One wore black thongs pretty consistently. I opt for a string bikini in a pastel colour for my daily wear, and the “novelty thong,” for special occassions. My favourite being an entirely uselessly tiny black thong with bright butterflies. I also have one with a very nice whistle on it, but I can’t wear it anywhere due to the fact that you can SEE the whistle through my clothes. :P

  10. Love the panties and the jeans… especially the blue one. I’d never be brave enough to wear a nightgown outside :P … but yours doesn’t really look like a nightgown. Then again, I prefer the lacy and pink kind for nightgown, which all but scream “I’M A NIGHTGOWN!!!!”

  11. Ooh, I especially like the multi-colored ones! <3

As for the nightgown, I’ve always wanted to do that — but I have virtually no boobs so they all look like crap on me. =(

  12. I see boobs! <3

I still like to wear kiddie panties a la Hello Kitty. *hides*

  14. Take pictures of them individually and I can use them for Pants Awards ;)

  15. The panties were cute. I prefer smaller ones, cause I often wear low rise jeans, and it looks ugly if my underwear can be seen, I think.

The Levis had a nice color, but I don’t like boot cut at all. I only wear skinnys, cause boot cut jeans make me look weird.

I loved the dress though. Those boobs of yours looked nice!!!

  17. I lalalalav silk panties. You know, I might just actually show you a couple of nightgowns of mine so you can turn them into really lovely dresses. I love the idea!
