A Brush With The Rich And Famous

March 22, 2008 | Filed under Family & Friends, Style

When my parents gave up the take-away shop, I thought that I’d lost my chance at sporadically brushing shoulders with the rich and famous…even if they were just rich and famous football players.

It turns out that this is not true! What with my parents currently cleaning other people’s houses, it turns out that they’re actually cleaning the home of one of Australia’s premier womenswear fashion designers, and associating with him on a weekly basis. For legal purposes, and also for purposes of “my parents would kill me as it might jeopardise their position”, I obviously can’t name him…but let me just assure you that he’s very much of the top tier of Australia’s fashion designers.

I’m incredibly excited about this, and have already dreamt up several scenarios, all involving me having to accompany my parents on a cleaning job, him noticing me, him making me his muse, me receiving bucketloads of free clothing. It’s really the last bit of the scenario that matters most. Heh.
