February 8 2008: Jingwen’s Competition #1
What It Is
A competition run by yours truly, in order to give current, and potential, readers of Jingwen a tangible prize. Prizes will differ from month to month. Some may only be suitable for a certain demographic, others will be gender and age neutral.
The Prize
This month’s prize is a pair of black maternity pants (RRP$69.95AUD) - designed to fit you from the time of conception to approximately eight months gestation. These are ideal with a shirt for a corporate environment, or with a nice sparkly top for a night out with friends, or even dress it down with a Tshirt and flats for weekend wear. These pants are available in UK/Australian size 6 to size 24 - and you can refer to the chart here if you’re accustomed to American or European sizing.
The key thing to remember with these pants is that they’re actually quite a small fit, so if you normally wear a size 12, I’d go for the size 14 instead. As for the length of the pant, it should be long enough for anyone up to a height of 180cm. These pants are actually also available in other colours, though sizes are limited: camel, mocha, chocolate, white, navy. If you win, I’ll email you and we can work out the details.
NOTE: These may be maternity pants, but if you’re not pregnant, you can actually wear them as well. They’re entirely discreet and not obviously maternity. Or, enter for the chance to win them for a pregnant friend or relative!
How To Win
You will need to email me at acchamanda@gmail.com with:
- Your full name
- Your postal address
- Your dress size (refer to chart), preferred colour, etc.
- A URL (if applicable)
- A 100 word (minimum) mini-essay on why you think you deserve to win these pants.
You will also need to comment on five separate entries on Jingwen (they can be past entries) between the timeframe of 8 February 2008 and 7 March 2008 in order to qualify for the draw. These comments cannot be along the lines of “Nice site!” or “I agree with this post!” - in short, they must have some substance.
Please note that the comments left on blog entries, as well as email entries, will be deemed to be the property of Jingwen, and will, in all likelihood, be reproduced for public consumption.
Summary
The winner of these pants will be drawn randomly out of a hat on the 8th of March 2008 - or International Women’s Day (how appropriate!). You will be notified by email. The winner will also be announced on this blog.
