An Experiment With Liquid Eyeliner
January 19, 2008 | Filed under Body
I normally don’t bother with liquid eyeliner, or even eyeliner in general. It smudges, it goes on wonky and then you have to straighten it with a Q-tip. It’s a lot of trouble for something so minor.

For special occasions though, I’m very happy to put in the effort. Not that anyone ever notices…

I don’t know how you do it! I nearly end up poking my eye ball out. It looks fierce. :P

Looks lovely… I’m too afraid of poking my eyeball out. :P

It looks good :D Mine always ends up looking horrible, or you can’t see it at all…

It looks very nice and suits you. I can’t do eyeliner because it makes my eyes water up and always looks smudgey (unless of course I am going for the smudged look). I like liquid eyeliner but it looks crap on me (like texta) so I don’t use it. btw what is a Q-tip?
Reply: A Q-tip! One of those things you use to clean your ears of earwax? If you wet it with a little bit of water, it’s much better than a tissue for cleaning up eye makeup mistakes because it can remove the tiniest of errors. :)

Yer so sweet! (not referring to your eyes – well, also… ) ;)

I’m just like Jordie >.> I get too freaked out by it. To be honest, I never use makeup ><

Nicely done! I usually use a pencil though, liquid eyeliner scares me :-P

I’ve never been a big fan of liquid eyeliner. It is such a pain to put on. If I do use eyeliner, it’s pencil all the way for me. Your eyes look so beautiful though! Great job!

i kinda have eyes like yours.. where the 雙眼皮 turns into a 單眼皮…. when i use eyeliner… i line it on top of the 單眼皮 so it’s more visible..
Experiment. You’ll get interesting results =)
Reply: It’s a pain isn’t it? Any eye makeup I put on is never very noticeable because of it. I usually stick to just mascara, and concentrate on colour on my lips instead of eyes.

I enjoy liquid eyeliner! It took a while to get used to though.

Liquid eyeliner burns. That’s my only contribution to this discussion.

Your eyes scared the crap out of me when this page loaded. Nevertheless – looks good! I seriously have little else to say.

I don’t like liquid liner, it’s too messy. I prefer a Kohl pencil.

I am useless at putting on liquid eyeliner, but I thought liquid eyeliner went on your eyelid?
Reply: Well it’s not much use for me because I’ve got single eyelids rather than double eyelids…any eyeliner on my eyelids is totally unnoticeable!

It’s good that you don’t wear eyeliner. I started wearing it when I was 13 and I can’t go out without it now!! It looks good on you though. If you’re not use it liquid, use pencil and if it smudges, it’ll just give you a little smokey effect.

It took me a while to get used to liquid eyeliner…it would always smudge or get too thick, but after a few tries, it was great! Then a few months ago I just got lazy and figured it took too much time :P
And I have double eyelids but like…they’re really small and the top lid practically covers the bottom, so I know what you mean when eye makeup becomes unnoticeable. It’s sucks!

^ I’ve tried to use it a couple of times but yeah…very smudgy. Think I’ll stick to my tacky $2 eyeliner pencil from Paddy’s Market in Sydney :P

Oh, a cotton bud. Yeah they do work better for eyes.
