An ‘Epic’ House Party

January 17, 2008 | Filed under Media

How sad is it that Corey Worthington has been the face of Melbourne teenagers in the international community these past couple of days?

I wish I could say something to convince everyone that we’re not all unrepentant hooligans who invite five hundred people over for an ‘epic’ house party when our parents are out of town. I wish I could say that we don’t all need our parties controlled and quashed by a police helicopter, two dog squads, transit police, divisional vans, and a critical incident response team. I wish I could say that we don’t all cost our communities $20,000 in damages because of drunken rioting.

But really, would anyone listen to me? If you believe a large majority of the people who’ve commented on various YouTube videos of the events, he’s a legend, that the whole situation is ‘epic’. Nightclubs are clamouring for him to become a promoter for them. Celebrity agents are trying to get in touch with him. Radio stations are paying him mounds of cash to speak with them for a few minutes.

But really, what he actually needs is to be spanked hard and sent to juvie. Bloody idiot.

Edit: An excellent pictoral demonstration of my feelings regarding Corey Worthington, courtesy of Encyclopaedia Dramatica:

corey worthington, douchebag

  3. He’s an overglorified delinquent! If he were my kid I’d STILL be beating his ass!

  4. Please tell me I’m not the only one dawdling on that slapping website for hours on end, just slapping the crap out of him for the lulz.

    Xuan on January 17, 2008 #

  5. Negative, Xuan. My record is 517 metres.

    Jordie on January 17, 2008 #

  6. Damn you, Jordie. I’ve only managed 290.

  7. The trick is to bring the hand back as far as it’ll go and then slap him as FAST as you possibly can. I’m too lazy to try for anything beyond 517 really…

  8. Well, at least if he gets the money for being on the radio, he can use it to pay back the damages to the community! :)

  9. Ha ha, I saw that on the news! Yes, even in Canada! It’s stupid, honestly. I heard the damages were outrageous, and that was just the damage done on public property, I can only imagine the chaotic state of his house!

  10. Oh man that picture is terrible. I love it.

  11. A girl in the UK did a similar thing, was all over the news.

  12. It just goes to show that Australia is a country of fail. Promoting a douchebag like this… and a douchebag like Russell Crowe.

  13. wow, he looks like the dictionary definition of a douche…that picture is hilarious though.

  14. I haven’t heard about him until now…he seems like someone I’d hate, if I had known him personally. The funny thing is, after his ‘notoriety’ wears off, no one will give a shit.

  15. Living in America, I have no idea who he is, but he seems like a jerk, right off the bat.

  16. This guy makes me so mad… I can’t even express how angry I am that some little shit thinks that what he did was awesome and epic and doesn’t have any remorse for the damage he’s caused.

  17. I think I’m even more angry at all the people praising him than at him. He deserves a good spanking (from Jordie), not all the attention from the media.

I can imagine him growing up to be a doped guy living in the streets of Melbourne without a penny.

  18. Your country wins?

    Mike Haddad on January 18, 2008 #

  19. Wow. Just wow. Why the hell is he being promoted all over the media like this (… it seems like he is)? If he lived in my house, he would have been kicked out. Seriously, how much more of a disrespectful, can’t-give-a-damn, selfish attitude can you get?

LOLZ at the poster, though. Though I don’t support abortion, it makes a good point for it :P
