Does your dad not have to declare that it was in fact you driving the car? That’s how it works here in the UK (so I’m told).

Reply: My parents gave me the choice of covering all the car insurance next year (rather than my usual half) or applying to take the demerits. I chose to cover the insurance - I know that despite this fine, in future I probably won’t not speed on deserted roads with no traffic lights, pedestrians, or other cars.

(no neither can I, but I’m still better). I still haven’t got a speeding fine yet (touch wood) - flee the household and you’ll never have to pay the fine.
