QOTW: Redundant Products

September 6, 2007 | Filed under Q.O.T.W., Style

Most redundant bra size: 16A (38A).

Why on earth would you manufacture something for larger women in an A-B cup? Chances are, a large proportion of the extra weight would be positioned in two mounds on her chest, requiring at least a B-C cup!

And as I forgot to do this on Monday:

Question of the Week: What’s the most redundant and useless invention/product you’ve ever seen?

  1. The electric nosehair clippers that I found in Dad’s drawer. What the hell?

  2. Actually I have a few friends who are quite large (size 14-18) and they only have small cup sizes. I always wondered why/how could that be, considering I am a D cup and consider myself average-large, and most other girls I see that are built bigger have bigger cups.
Good question though. I need to think about that. I couldn’t pick “the most” useless product/invention but I’m sure there are many out there.
My mind has drawn a blank, I can’t think of anything…
I will come back later and check everyone elses comments and maybe something will come to light.

  3. Umm… There’s 16A? I usually only see 8-14A in shops.

I know the Japanese has created many redundant products. There’s pretty stupid ones but I forgot… Amnesia. @_@

  6. ^ Actually, that rotary cellphone is pretty awesome… :P

I’d have to say Cruggs are the worst of all. Not only is it redundant, it’s fugly!

  9. Erm. I know someone who is a 20A. It’s definitely possible.

Whoever invented dial-up internet needs to be shot. That is the single most useless invention ever, but I guess you have to start somewhere.

  10. The most useless invention ever has to be the portable sauna. It’s basically a sauna/steam room with wheel on it so you can take it “everywhere”. Pointless, I say.

  11. couldn’t think of anything, except those snap image previews come to mind. Why waste my 5-10 seconds of loading time to show a preview of what I might or might not click on…Worse still is that it blocks my view of whatever i was reading, and it is hard to close off.

  12. are you now generalizing the large women out there or the ones with the smaller breasts? From what I read you either mean that large woman can’t have small breasts or that people with small breasts can’t need a larger size bra for various reasons…

If you turn it around I know quiet a few women with a large chest that don’t need the big size bra other than in cup size. So it’s hard to generalize on those things as no two women are the same therefor I don’t think the bra(size) is redundant.

Reply: I’m saying that larger women will generally not need an A cup bra. A cup in Australian terms is nothing. It’s the equivalent to a ten-year-old boy – totally flat. Larger women would have at least part of their weight on their chest – necessitating at least a B cup (half a handful).
