August 29 2007: Inability To Dress Oneself
Filed under Fashion
I’m finding it very hard to dress myself these days.
As a prelude to moving at the end of next month, we’ve begun moving little bits and pieces over to the new house every time we drive over to see how the builders are going with the renovations. They’re being stored in the garage for the time being, and this exercise is basically so we can stagger the move over a number of weeks, and make the actual moving day easier on ourselves by only having to organise for the furniture and large items to be moved.
As such, all my books and DVDs have been packed up and stored into boxes. I’ve cleared out at least two thirds of my closet, packing them into numerous 红白蓝胶带. We’ve moved half the crockery over as well, leaving only the daily essentials. All my brother’s toys have been packed and moved. Everything we had in storage (picnic supplies, beach equipment and the like) have all been moved as well.
But essentially, the important point is that I only have one-third of my wardrobe to work with. Hence, I’m finding it very hard to put together anything but the most basic outfit these days. Though, it kind of shows you what kind of person I am, and what kind of lifestyle I lead considering I’ve left my jeans, T-shirts, black pants, and party dresses here, but have packed everything else.
I think it’s called sack bags? Hahaha sounds cool anyway. It’s really hard to segment clothes especially when you have a lot of them haha.
Good luck with the moving :D

Wow you guys sure think ahead! When my family used to move, we’d just pack everything the day before and spend one day moving all the stuff over.
Aww but t-shirt and jeans are a great combo! :P

Wow, I don’t really think of having a “wardrobe” or “putting things together”; I suppose I just wear whatever is clean or falls out of my wardrobe first *shame* I feel so tomboyish.
It’s a good idea to start moving things over now so you spread the work load over. Wish I’d have thought of that!

I always have to scrimp on clothes everytime I go to and from the Philippines because I have to pack light and store everything else away. You’ll really have to bite the bullet and settle for jeans and t-shirts. It takes getting used to. :P

I’m so bad. When I go to visit Jay it is usually for a day or two. I usually pack a weeks worth of outfits just because I don’t know what I might be in the mood to wear.
