Fare Thee Well
July 20, 2007 | Filed under Media
As we prepare to enter into the last stage of what has been ten years of thrilling literary adventures, we must brace ourselves for the inevitable – the final goodbye to a cast of characters who have defined the way we see life, love, and loss.
We’ve laughed with them, cried with them, rode broomsticks with them. And as it comes to an end, we must stop and reflect on the years past, and what has been.
Then forget about the past. Think of the future. Think of the many unauthorised Potter sequels and parodies that are yet to penetrate the market. Think of the thousands upon thousands of fanfics that will attempt to rewrite the tale.
But most of all, think of the movies to come. Think of the seventy hour long television mini-series I plan to produce one day which will spell out every single little action in all seven books – nothing will be left out, all dialogue and action will be retained.
But until then…rejoice, for we will finally see what happens to everyone’s favourite boy wizard.
Fare thee well, fellow Potter-ites. Fare thee well.

Very well put. I can’t stand it, I feel as if I need to go stand by the store right this moment or my excitement will explode within me.
Oooh, when are you holding the auditions?!
Reply: When I raise the capital. :P

I really wasn’t excited until yesterday, but re-reading HBP made me all excited for the new one. I’ll be sad with nothing to read, I don’t read anything else and haven’t for.. a while. RIP HP!

Hmm what do you think about spin offs? I mean Rowling did create a huge wizarding universe… still… these seven books are quite epic.
I wonder what’s going to make the next generation of kids literate?

Stop, stop, you’re making me cry.
Seriously, there’s tears in my eyes. It doesn’t help that I had to stop and read this out loud (dramatically) to my little sister.
*sobs* I’m so afraid to read this book!
