May 30 2007: Essayer Ecrire L’Essay
I should be writing my last essay of the semester - “Youth celebrities express nothing other than the structure of international media systems.” Do you agree? In your answer, you should identify a media figure admired by young people, and outline the structural and cultural factors explaining his or her emergence as an object of desire.
Who else would I write about other than Paris Hilton? Duh! It’s due on Friday, and I’ve written precisely 330 words out of a minimum of 1800. So that’s…what, 1470 to go? Yipes.
I really should stop listening to Faye Wong singing a Cantonese version of the Cranberries’s “Dreams”, and get to work. No more Faye! No more Faye! More Vanness Wu! Mmm…semi-naked Taiwanese pop star.
Wow, what a weird train of thought.
Edit@10:46pm: 939 words! Only 861 to go!
Ecrivez! L’essay, c’est important, n’est-ce pas? That’s about the extent of my French. Four years of it made little difference. :P
Come on, Amanda! Lindsay Lohan! Minus the fact that she apparently got into a car accident involving cocaine the other day/week/month. Or … some nice hot guy from The OC! The obsolete TV show that apparently nobody liked in Australia anymore, it was that riveting.
I can’t see the second picture. T^T Wah.
