Murder…She Wrote

May 20, 2007 | Filed under Media

I would just like to say that I was one second away from killing someone today.

They would have deserved it though. Anyone who falls asleep in a movie theatre and starts snoring really really loudly at the climax of the movie doesn’t deserve to live. Add to that thought, anyone who sits next to someone who’s snoring really really loudly at the climax of the movie but doesn’t even attempt to wake them up also doesn’t deserve to live.

On that note, Breach is a pretty decent movie though. Semi-recommended. Who would have thought Ryan Phillipe could actually act? Here I was thinking that his only purpose in life had been to be pretty man candy for Reese Witherspoon…now it seems like he may actually have some acting chops. Kudos.

  1. Ha! My mother fell asleep towards the end of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring and started snoring rather loudly but she was woken by some guy yelling ‘CHOICE!’ when Aragorn cut the Uruk Hai’s head off.

I’m pretty sure it was done intentionally to wake her up! :P

    I love Ryan Phillippe.

  5. I haven’t heard about the movie but I can only imagine it was annoying listening to the snoring. The theatre we usually go to is stuffed with annoyances too – but we don’t have many cinema’s to choose from.

Murder! – She wrote – Currently they broadcast it on Danish television and I am watching :D

  6. I don’t think it’s out here yet. Although I might not go see it, it depends if it’s my kind of movie..

Someone snoring in a cinema should pay for a hotel room rather than a movie ticket. They obviously need it. I can somewhat understand though that the person sitting next to the sleeper doesn’t attempt to wake him/her up. It all depends whether or not you know this person. I wouldn’t wake up a stranger..

  7. In Firefly, the preacher says (sarcastically) that a part of hell is reserved for those who abuse children and those who talk in theaters. There must be a place for those who snore, too.
