May 7 2007: QOTW: Sorry, I Farted
I was once naive and innocent. No, truly I was. I even have proof! A friend in primary (elementary) school once told me a joke:
Two guys were having sex, and when they finish, one guy goes into the kitchen to get something to eat. The other guy says, “Don’t do anything to mess up the kitchen, I just cleaned it.”
After fifteen minutes when the first guy hasn’t returned to the bedroom, the second guy goes into kitchen to see what was taking so long. Upon entering, he find white stuff everywhere – all over the floors and cupboards.
The first guy looks at him and says, “Sorry, I farted”.
I laughed of course, as you do when someone tells a joke. The only problem was…I didn’t understand the implications behind it. He…farted? So? What was the white stuff?
I would have been about nine years old…so yes, once upon a time, before I started reading Mills & Boon, I was once innocent and uncorrupted. Of course, as many of you can confirm, it’s an entirely different story now. So, leading on from this,
Question Of The Week #2: Can you pinpoint the age at which you lost your innocence and naivety? If so, how old were you, and what prompted it?

Year 8…can’t remember really, I’d say about 14 I guess. It was because I was in an all boys class at school (the only one left l think). XD

I don’t know…maybe three or four years ago. It was when schoolmates and people started thinking it was cool to know what others were referring to when they said certain things.

Well, I know I’m not naive and innocent… but I don’t get that joke. :\

Grade 9. :/
In fact, I still have some of it left over…because I still don’t get many of the obscene jokes told to me.

Hmm I think it’s more of a gradual downward spiral for me. When we moved houses when I was in about year 4, the previous owner left two big bundles of Mills and Boons books behind. I was a big reader and a curious kid and so yeah… you can say that kicked it off.
However, Mills and Boons is pretty tame compared to other stuff. My “innocence” really headed down the drain after I became familiar with the internet… I discovered what yaoi and shounenai was and this and that… then I got an ACTUAL boyfriend and that was a whole new bag of fun. :P

When I lost my innocence and naivety… that would have to be when I befriended one of my current friends. Yep, innocence goes flying out the window :P
On a completely unrelated note, Jay Chou is open for apps at TFL ;)
Reply: Thanks for heads up! I’ve applied for it, and the Spice Girls too. :P

It was you. Oh I mourn for my lost innocence.

I had to read that four times before I got it. I wouldn’t consider myself a complete innocent, because I eventually got it (and chuckled), but seriously? I’m really innocent compared to a lot of people. And I’m twenty.
I’d have to say when I hit high school… good grief, it was like a whole new world. It went downhill from there.

It was my aunt’s fault. Lulz.

I don’t get it… :(
I learned what sex was by reading an encyclopedia, by accident no less! That was when I was 11. When I was 14, my aunt stumbled upon this set of books about the human body and other physical topics aimed for teens. She says I’m old enough to read them, so I did. And that was… yeah.

Ah! I missed your blog!!! lol. That makes me sound like an overzealous fan… :P
I don’t know exactly when I lost my innocence… I think I might’ve been 12. I remember when somebody told me what oral sex was… and how disgusted I was. :P

Around 12, I think. I already knew a bit about sex before that, but I probably wouldn’t have gotten that joke at 11.
As for what prompted it, natural curiosity, I guess. The fact that I rode the school bus with a bunch of horny older boys definitely helped, too. It’s been a downward spiral since then, and I know for a fact that I brought at least one friend down with me LOL.
Friend: I was a prude before I met you, and you completely ruined me.
Me: Awww, I’m so proud of you!
Friend: Me, too! Thanks, friend!
:P

I think I was around 12 or 13 when a friend lent me a couple of slash fanfics to read. And then it really went downhill when I got my own computer + Internet. Also, I managed to corrupt a couple of my friends and they’ll learn to thank me later on. :D

Unrelated to the question (cos honestly, it’s so long ago I don’t even remember when it was), but I think the message on here (http://www.juanqui.net/home.php) is for you.
Ignore it or not as you wish ;)
Reply: Oh! Emailed you about it. :)

I have no idea, but it started when my friends taught me what some words meant. After that I couldn’t trust anyone’s tricks, cos I tend to think the long way around.

That’s disgusting. haha, no I don’t; but at the age of about five mum told me Santa wasn’t real because she was sick of pretending and ‘buying the crappy little presents santa buys’. At about 8, I learnt ‘fuck’ was a ‘dirty word for ‘sex”. At 9, I learnt what a ‘blowjob’ was from my cousins and used to threaten to tell the parents they told me if they stopped including me in their games.

That joke is truly legendary.

I think any innocent left in tact was destroyed when I started reading your blog.
Amber on May 8 2007 #
I can’t actually remember my age but I remember being quiet young and going to the library with my mom to pick out books on sex education for children…
Things went downhill from there but hey a dirty mind is a joy forever right?!

Err, I started early. When I started reading all sort of stuff. Like…around 7, methinks.
That being said, I don’t get that joke. And I’m neither naive nor innocent! o_O
