April 23 2007: Subtle (ha!) Pluggage

Megan. Noemi. Megan. Noemi. Megan. Noemi. Megan. Noemi. Megan. Noemi. Megan. Noemi. Megan. Noemi.
Like I said, whoever comes closest to guessing the correct price gets a priceless prize - recognition on this blog. Megan guessed $21, and Noemi guessed $23. The actual price was $22, so give these two girls a big hand! I must say, I’m flattered that so many of you think that I have the ability to buy $170 worth of merchandise at under $15. I know I’m good, that goes without saying, but I’m not that good.
Another question on behalf of an acquaintance - is there any way to get Google Adsense to validate? I know that I’m generally known as a “OMG ADS DIE!” person, but I do accept them on non-personal site/blogs - which this particular site isn’t. So. Advice? The owner is currently validating as HTML 4.01 Transitional - and the whole site apart from the ads is valid. What do you advise?
And lastly, don’t you love it when people close comments on their blog because they can’t stand criticism? It makes me lawl.
ETA: Let me know if you spot anything wrong with this layout. So far it’s been tested in IE7 and Firefox 2.0.0.3 on Windows Vista, from 800×600 to 1280×800 and I can’t spot anything - I need a fresh opinion!
April 22 2007: A Guessing Game

Observe the two photos to your right. How much did I pay today for the shoes, three tank tops, and four pairs of patterned/fishnet stockings? Keep in mind that this is me we’re talking about - someone who has in the past bought a dress and bathers for $20.
Hint: The shoes were originally $50, the tank tops originally $20 each, and the stockings originally approximately $15 a pair.
Whoever comes closest gets a prize of priceless value (i.e. recognition on this blog). Huzzah!
April 22 2007: Vogon Poetry

So, I’ve been absent for two days. Anyone notice? No? I didn’t think so.
What better way to return, but by presenting you with some bad Vogon-esque poetry, courtesy of yours truly. If your eyes burn after reading it, blame Malin. She started it (well…not technically).
It beckons
Crimson calls
Four letters strike me
Heart flutters
Circle Slash Circle
Rummaging, searching, Eureka!
My wallet is now empty
Considering the general running theme of this blog, I don’t think it takes a genius to figure out what the poem alludes to. Or…does it? For my part, I tag Belinda and Chien Yee.
