There’s fourteen hours left to go on a Diane von Furstenberg dress that I’m watching on eBay, and it currently stands at a dollar. If I can get it for under twenty dollars (including the six dollars postage), then that may well be the greatest bargain I will ever get in my entire life, especially considering it goes for $385 (without discounts). I’m almost apopletic with excitement.

Of course, having now posted about it, it’ll probably be pushed up to $100 by auction’s end. Such is life.

Tip of the day for faking high fashion at low prices: if you’re too poor to afford designer brands, buy a length of their ribbon off eBay (like this auction), and then cut it up and sew it onto a plain Tshirt as though it’s an actual tag. Or, get a hold of one of their shopping bags (e.g. this auction) and carry it around as a reusable shopping bag when you go shopping. If you can’t have the real thing, at least you can fake it!

  2. I love having the designer bags. It makes you feel as if, you know, you’re just poised to be the editor of Vogue…. Maybe not. I love the dress though, I hope you get it.

  7. Aha! A dollar! Even I would probably grab the chance to get that. Let’s just hope that people don’t have the same fashion sense as yours so they won’t even try to bid, lol. ;)
