Pearl Necklace

And no, I’m not referring to the ‘pearl necklace’ with sexual connotations…though boy oh boy, the dirty-minded of you were thinking of that weren’t you?
No, I refer to a purchase I made today at every bargain lover’s favourite store: The Salvation Army Family Store.
You can click on the picture to see a larger version. Don’t you just love it? The pearls are obviously fake, but what I love is:
- The fact that it’s held together with a fob link
- The three charms: golden dove, golden lion and mother of pearl heart
- The length of the chain – it hangs right between my boobs
It’s the retro and dated kind of look that would go really well with nice pink teaparty dress, or even with the nautical look. Heck, I could just wear jeans and a black singlet with this necklace and it’ll look good.
And all for only $3AUD…

I love how vintage it looks :-) I’ve been looking for a nice long necklace, too, but I’ve yet to find one that I like and that fits my budget.
I have to confess that I did wonder for a second if you meant the other kind of pearl necklace…

It’s really pretty. All the shops round here are doing similar versions of those. However they look cheap and tacky (even though they’re far more expensive) whereas that one doesn’t.

Wow, it actually looks really classy compared to a lot of other necklaces I’ve seen of it’s kind. Wish I could burrow it for the upcoming seminar… :-P
