February 25 2007: Shopaholic

“Hi, I’m Amanda and I’m a shopaholic.”

“Hi Amanda”.

“Since I first started earning my own money at the age of fourteen, I’ve been unable to prevent myself from impulsive shopping.”

*murmurs of acknowledgement*

“The allure of a fifty percent off sign is too much for me in a store. It’s as though Becky Bloomwood takes over my body.”

*pause*

“Today I went shopping and bought an M-One-11 denim miniskirt for $17.50…but I had to have it, it had originally been $69.95.”

*silence*

“And I also bought an electric blue slogan T-shirt with ‘My boyfriend’s on holiday’ plastered across my chest.”

*shock*

“But as God is my witness, this shall be my last purchase this month! I shall be a reformed shopper!”

*wild applause*
