February 18 2007: Happy Chinese New Year!
So, upon attending a (somewhat) local Chinese New Year’s Eve street festival tonight, I realised that I was more Asian than I thought. Not only could I read and understand most signs up around the festival, as well as knowing all the songs they were playing over the loudspeakers, but I also knew every second person I walked past…and they all happened to be Asian. Perhaps I really am fobulous?
Nevertheless, as it is now past midnight…Happy Chinese New Year! Xin Nian Kui Le! Gong Qi Fa Cai!

OH MY GOD. You are probably almost the epitome of fobulism. Happy new year!

Oh that’s great! When I was living in London I didn’t know anything about the Philippines except the names of some of the food and that I had to “bless” to elders (bring one of their hands to touch my forehead). If I went back now though I’d be the most fobulicious babe there! :-P

Reading that definition, I’d say you are most definitely Fobulous.
Happy New Year!

I have no idea about Chinese New Year. I am, however, a sheep. So tell me when the year of the sheep rolls around please. My friend is a monkey. I’m quite jealous.
Definitely fobulous, Amanda. Definitely.

Do you still get red envelopes, or are you giving them out to little kids, too?

Chinese words sound very interesting compared to English words, I must say. Happy New Year Amanda!!! Do the Chinese have different years from us? Is it 2007 over in China too?
PS: Yes, I think it is the year of the pig. I’m a dog.

Happy Chinese New Year! I wasn’t aware that “fobulous” was a word, but I sure am glad I know about it now. :D

Does that fact that it’s the Year of the Pig mean I’m allowed to stop eating this rabbit food (ironic, considering I’m a Rabbit!) and start pigging out on all that delicious junk food again?
While I’m on the subject of being a Rabbit, I am a Fire Rabbit which totally contradicts my Western astrological Earth sign of Taurus.
Look at me, rabbiting on… oh, the puns!
I thought fobulous meant a homosexual fan of Fall Out Boy!

Happy New Year. :) I think it’d be really interesting to learn more about the Chinese language and culture. You’re very lucky to be part of it.
